Easter Part 2

On Sunday  we celebrated Easter with my side of the family. The kids took a late nap, and when they woke up, Kellie and I packed up the kids and headed to my parents house. Brandon was at work and wasn't going to be able to join us until much later.
Gavin took the big kids downstairs and kept them entertained while Kellie and my dad hid all of the Easter eggs my mom had filled the night before. My dad had a great idea to just give each kid a room, that way everyone was guaranteed eggs and no fighting, smart man.

We released the kids upon the main level and the hunting began. All of the kids seemed to really enjoy it! After all the eggs were found, Kellie sepearated each kid and made them make two piles, one for money and one for candy..gotta love her ocd-ness! There was lots of candy sneaking going on but isn't that part of the fun? The kids made quite a haul and I am sure their dentist will scold us for all the sugar they will consume this week but oh well, at least these teeth fall out :)

Annie hunting in my mom's office for her eggs
 I found one!!!!

Elias had the dining room to hunt for all of his eggs, he did a great job!
 Gavin separating out his goodies
 CHEESE, cousin love
Annie was super excited about opening up each egg and seeing what was inside
It didn't take Benjamin very long to figure out there is candy in the eggs! It didn't take Riley dog very long to figure out he could steal the candy from little short Benjamin

Benjamin found all the empty eggs and had fun playing with them.

The next couple of hours were a blur of playing, eating, chatting and welcoming Brandon to the madness of it all. Benjamin was being a crab apple( probably from those 4 molars coming in) so I gave him a bath which bought us enough happiness time so that we could open Easter Baskets. Each of the kids got something a little different  so they enjoyed looking at their goodies and each others. After the candy, food and gifts were packed up, we headed home and straight to bed.
Fun but tiring weekend! Good thing Brandon had Monday so we could all relax and recover.
