Dress Up

When it is quiet for too long, that is generally a cause for concern in our house. I was feeding Nicholas and noticed it was very calm. Elias was playing Disney Infinity but I hadn't heard a peep from the other three. Bad news. Thankfully when they did show themselves, it was just to show off their awesome dress up outfits. They kept coming up with different outfits on. Is there anything more funny then little kids in funny dress up clothes?

I know these are the same picture, but I love the way his little face looks when he is saying CHEESE

Outside Fun In January

A couple weeks ago, the weather warmed up and all the snow and ice began to melt. The kids decided that this would be the perfect weather to go outside and play in. Yes, wet wet melting snow, awesome. I had no good reason to say no, so we all bundled up, and headed outside. Annie and Elias ran off to play with friends and I followed the little boys around while wearing Nicholas. We started off by going for a walk where Benjamn and Samuel were as cute as can be. We then decided to play in the back yard. Immediately both boys ran and shoved their faces in the snow and began eating. They would look up occasionally and grin.

Once we made it across the yard, Samuel noticed his beloved sandbox covered up by snow. He frantically started brushing it off. I told him we had to wait until the snow melted to play. He was content with that answer and kept eating the snow on top of it. He at one point looked up at me with a mouth of snow and those big blue eyes and said " I WUB YOU" then went back to eating. He was SO happy to be outside.
Benjamin decided it was perfect weather for teetering tottering. He managed to get himself on it but found it rather difficult to do on his own. Thankfully Samuel was willing to hop on. There was some trial and error, and some face planting, but they figured it out.

After about an hour and too many laughs to count, we called it a day and headed in for hot coco and warm blankets. We can't wait for spring and all the outside play it will bring!

January Cell Phone Pictures

Look at me, two days in a row of blog posts! I must be on a roll. Since February is about half over, I suppose its about time to put up the cell phone pictures from January.
As you can see, a lot of these pictures are of Mr. Nicholas, he sure is cute. Sleeping or awake he captures out hearts.

Benjamin put his underwear on himself and couldn't be told they were on backwards!
This picture show just how much this girl loves her baby brother. She wants to be holding him or taking care of him any chance she gets.

Nicholas 2 Month

Weight: 11 lbs 5oz  22.5 inches Nicholas has dropped down to the 25th percentile for both weight and height. Due to his fat dimples in his arms and chubby cheeks, my doctor isn't too worried.

Hair color- So far its still brown, but there are many people, myself included, who think he is going to be a ginger .i.e red head

Eye Color- Baby blue!

Sleep- He is FANTASTIC. He sleeps from 9pm-8am waking up every 3-7 hours to eat. He can put him self to sleep easily and can sleep through lots of noise. He sleeps best in his crib but does take nice naps in the swing if need be.

Eating- He is a good little eater. He eats every 2.5-4 hours during the day and every 3-6.5 hours throughout the night.

Daily routine- At the ripe age of 2 months, Nicholas has fallen into some pretty great daily patterns. He wakes around 8am eats and hangs out for awhile. He takes a morning snooze around 10:30. I usually have time to make lunch before he wakes up and wants to eat again. He sometimes stays awake for a bit but he usually takes his longest and best nap right around 1. The rest of the day is a mix of eating, sleeping and pooping with one more nice nape coming just after dinner time. He usually is WIDE awake when its time to put the other kids to bed but then is ready for his dinner and bed by 9pm.

Personality:  Nicholas is the perfect baby. He is happy, interacts with people, smiles, "talks" and is content being poked and held by all his siblings. He loves people and looking up at his toys on his play mat. He is very low maintenance and I have never heard him cry unless he is tired, hungry, wet or cold. He is awesome and steals my heart every day.

Firsts: First time sleeping through the night, the day before he turned 2 months old. First time "talking"
What we are looking forward to: Seeing that adorable personality continue to develop.
