This post is happening a bit later than usual, but as the saying goes, better late then never!
2015 was an eventful year! Brandon started teaching at UND, the kids were in 100 activities, we spent our first very busy summer in our new house, went on a mini vacation, and to top it all off...we had a baby! Here are the highlights from each month.
January: We went out, alone, to eat as a family of 6 for the first time. This is impressive because Samuel was already 18 months old! It was fun. Benjamin turned 3 and we spent some time outdoors building our first snowman in the new house.
February : This is always our most mellow month. We hung out, played a lot inside, had a mini superbowl party and pretty much kept it low key!
March: Ah, the weather finally warmed up and we spent many afternoons outside in the crisp air. "recess" homeschool style! Elias also celebrated his 7th birthday and we celebrated with a pre-Easter photo shoot.
April: Lots of outside time and the official Easter celebration kept us pretty busy in April. We also told the kids we were having a baby...and a trip to the cities, both they were equally excited about.
May: The month of Annie. She had her mini meet and her ballet recital, both went great! We planted our garden and took a trip to the cities. The "vacation" didn't go as planned as Samuel had a road side seizure, but all ended well!
June: June is always picture month! We took some family photos, announced our 5th pregnancy to the world and spent LOTS of time grilling and playing outdoors.
July: Samuel turned 2, we found out we were having another boy and the 4th of July were the highlights of July. The summer sun was hot and we were enjoying it with lots of park trips.
August: Summer fun came to an end and we started our 2nd year homeschooling. The kids took up swim lessons and Uncle Jordan set up a sweet movie theater in our back yard! Softball came to an end and Elias spent any free time he had begging Uncle Jordan to Geo Cache with him.
September: We ended our gardening season, got in our finally days outside in the warmth and Annie turned 6! We went on a couple of family outings as well.
October : We had our first block party since moving in and got to meet all of our neighbors! We celebrated Halloween and put the finishing touches on the nursery! We went on a few more fall themed field trips as well! The biggest highlight was the boy's trip to Duluth! Elias had an amazing time.
November: We decorated for Christmas, celebrated Thanksgiving, celebrated our birthdays and All Saints Day. The kids did lots of fun things in our warm November! What a treat. Elias got a brand new therapy swing and homeschool was going better then ever.
December: More outside time, family movie time, celebrated Christmas and all the festivities that go along with it. The biggest monument of the year was welcoming Nicholas to our family!!!!
May 2016 bring as much joy as 2015!!
