Elias and Annie had another play date with Logan today. This time we braved the beginning of blizzard weather to head over to Logan's house. They both had a ton of fun exploring new toys and playing in the ball pit. Annie and Logan also shared their first kiss.

Merry Christmas
This year's Christmas weekend was a crazy one! We started off on Christmas eve over at our house. Daddy had to work all day but when he got home Mommy had dinner ready for the family and Grandma( Uncle Jordan had to work all day and night too) We had home made pizza and salad. I came down with a cold the day before and was not feeling up to a more elaborate dinner. After dinner Mommy cleaned up and Grandma gave the babies a bath while Daddy changed into the Santa suit. After the bath the kids came downstairs and we got cookies and milk ready for Santa. Before we knew it there was a knock at the door and who could it be??? SANTA! The kids were very unsure of him and it wasn't until after daddy showed them it was really just him that they would go near him. Santa brought a few presents for the kids to open and they spent the evening playing with their new gifts. After cleanup it was time to tuck the kids into bed, but not before a traditional reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas. After the kids were in bed Mommy and Daddy worked really hard to get all of the presents out of hiding( Elias and the cats learned how to open gifts so our tree went present less until Christmas Eve). After the stockings were stuffed and the presents placed under the tree it was early to bed for all of us since after all we were battling colds and we had a early morning ahead. We woke up bright and early at 7:30 the next morning to head to grandma's house. We normally get up around 8:30 or so( the advantages to being a stay at home mom:) )so the kids were a little groggy. We went to grandmas and enjoyed a great breakfast of egg bake, bagels, pancakes, muffins and scrambled eggs. Elias pounded his breakfast and took off for the tree. He started opening gifts and so we all decided to clean up breakfast after the kids opened gifts. Elias and Annie got a set of board books from Grandma that kept them both entertained for about a hour while the adults opened presents( good job grandma!) It couldn't have worked out better. After the adults opened gifts the kids finished up and we cleaned up and played and played....well mommy took a 2 hour nap since she was really feeling crappy but everyone else played. After all the fun at Grandmas we went home for a nap. After nap we started opening up presents but had to take a dinner break for turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing ect. After dinner we finished opening up gifts and boy did the kids have a great time playing the rest of the night with all of their new things. So many people thought of our kids this holiday season and gave them books, toys, clothes we feel so blessed to have so many family and friends who love our kids and were so generous!! After a intense clean up of the house we headed to bed. The day after Christmas we went to Fargo to visit Great Grandpa Nelmer and the rest of the Eberhardt clan. After a quick pit stop at Olive Garden it was back to Grand Forks. We moved some things around in the house to make room for all the new toys and then it was time to visit with Ben and Brittany from out of town! It was so fun to see them after a year . Today we took down all the Christmas decorations and did another cleaning of the house( it sure did seem to get trashed alot this weekend with all the commotion) then it was time for more visiting of friends. Michelle came over (gift in hand for the kids..thanks!) and we got to visit for awhile before dinner. This was one of the busiest but best Christmas weekend we have had. It was full of family , friends, food and fun. Here are a few of the pictures from this weekend

Christmas Cookies Take 2
I had made some sugar cookies during the massive baking day I had so I figured I better get them frosted and ready for Santa to come! Uncle Jordan and Kellie came over to help with the decorating since Daddy was at work.Annie colored quietly while Elias helped the rest of us decorate. After a little while both of them decided they had enough and watched a Christmas movie while we finished off the cookies.

Christmas Cookies
On Monday night we took the kids over to Grandma's house to decorate Christmas cookies. Elias was pretty interested for about 10 min then decided he would rather play and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Annie also decided it was time to be done when brother did...that is until Uncle Jordan came over. Annie LOVES her Uncle Jordan! She walked over to him and he picked her up and she didn't leave his arms for the rest of the night. He isn't the best babysitter as he decided it was OK to let her "drink" the frosting..uffda. Here are some pictures from that night.
