Christmas Card Photo Shoot

I have a vinyl obsession. I'm not sure if we have visited that yet on the blog, but don't you worry, we will! For now, just know I have a problem and it involves a cutting machine and vinyl! A friend had this super cute picture of her kids on instagram in these cute shirts that said big biggest middle and little. I thought they were absolutely adorable and knew I wanted to try to do something like that for after Mary was born. Thus, my first vinly project was born. Kellie helped me think of names for the clan and I made all the shirts. I also made Mary a black Rhomper out of a tee shirt because I couldn't find a plain black onsie. We came up with:
Biggest
Big
Middle
Little
Mini
Tiny
Brandon saw the shirts and asked for one that said Huge. I decided I didn't want to be left out and came up with the perfect saying for my shirt, scroll down to see my cleverness at work.

A neighbor was nice enough to come over to snap a few pictures and I knew it was our Christmas card photo!

Christmas Card Final photo. Funny fact: When I was making my shirt the "D" didn't print right so for awhile my shirt just said One, like as in one more. Um, no thanks I love my 6 beautiful babies but we have a full house full hearts and empty pockets. Our family is complete and rather tragically beautiful if I do say so myself!
As I look as this picture it is crazy to think that they are all mine! Also, Benjamin and Samuel look like twins in size while looking absolutely nothing alike. I love these crazy kids!

I loved the way the pictures turned out. The were a little bright but that is what happens when the clouds move out of the way in the 10 minuets between setting up the camera and taking the pictures.

Fall Photo Shoot

Every year I try to get the family all cleaned and semi matching in an attempt to take some family pictures. This gong show of an event usually happens in June, however, due to an insanely busy summer, we never got around to it. Last week I was looking at the forecast and noticed this weekend it was going to be 60!!!!! I thought, welp, it is now or never! I dug through the kid's closets, found some clothes and waited for our window. Around 2, everyone was home, clean, rested and in a good mood. We threw on our fancy clothes and headed to our favorite picture spot. We were only there about 15 minuets but boy did we get some great pictures! I am regretting not attempting to get a full family picture but Brandon has a nasty mustache and I wouldn't rather not remember it. Just kidding.....kinda.

You may or may not be seeing some of these again in a month on the Christmas card!

Back to School

Ah, the first day of school. So much excitement, so much willingness to learn, so much fun! Thankfully my kids enjoy the back to school season just as much as I do and even though we started a week before the Neighborhood kids, we were up and at 'em our first morning. It has been so long I don't really remember the special things we did on the first day. I am sure it involved a coffee for me and maybe daddy brought home doughnuts? I just know we woke up, got dressed, filled out our AWESOME beginning of the year document and took the obligatory first day of school pictures!

Sammy isn't really doing "Preschool" but we wanted to make him feel like a big kid. he wants to be a Mcdonalds worker when he grows up.
Benjamin is 4, doing Preschool and wants to be a car wash attendant.
Annie is 6, starting 2nd grade and wants to be a gymnastics coach and mommy.
Elias is 8, starting 3rd grade and wants to be a Lego Engineer/Pokemon designer.

When we finished breakfast, we got right to work. At this point, I still didn't know if Benjamin was going to be going to a preschool or not, so we proceeded as if he was not and began working with him. He LOVES school! Even though he now goes to Preschool two mornings a week he still really enjoys learning to read and write at home. No complaints here!
The kids did absolutely fantastic all morning, have I mentioned that yet? The little boys played, the big kids were eager to see each new book and subject, the baby slept and played happily. It was wonderful, and we got A LOT done.

Annie and Elias' favorite subject so far is World Geography. They are learning a little bit about 36 countries all over the world. We do activities, watch videos, cook, very hands on and they are soaking it all up.

Can you tell they were SO over pictures?
The start to School Year 2016-2017 is in the books!

Pre Picture Photo Shoot

On Easter Sunday I was setting up the tripod to take family pictures. The kids were outside and took joy in helping me test out the remote shutter button. I ended up with some pretty cute pictures by accident.

Brandon bought Benjamin this little hat on a Target trip. Benjamin likes to wear it everywhere, until he lost it. I'm sure it will turn up soon. He looks quite awesome in sweats, snow boots and a fedora...on a bike.

Annie saw the camera come out and she took about 1,000 pictures. The girl is always ready for her moment. She is so silly when the camera comes out, I was shocked to see this one on there. I can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Uncle Jordan got in on some photo shoot action. Benjamin was pouting over having to wear "real" clothes.

Easter Pictures

I didn't have any updated family pictures since Nicholas was born so I figured Easter would be the perfect time to get some! We had matching outfits on and a tripod, what could go wrong? Nicholas decided for the first time in his life to cry. We found out a few days later his ears had fluid buildup and it was bothering him but at the time it brought pictures to a screeching halt. When the kid who never cries, cries, you get worried! Anyways, I managed to get a few good ones before we called it quits. The intention was then to take my side of the family pictures once we got to my moms. That never happened because 1. They didn't wearing matching clothes per my instructions 2. My mom was busy being hostess with the mostess 3. Nicholas was still upset 4. Most of us spilled amazing Easter dinner all over our clothes. We will get those pictures eventually!

For your viewing pleasure, now excuse me, I need to go order prints so I can FINALLY replace the stock photos that came in the frames...and are still  hanging on my wall that way.....8 months after being put up.

Year 5 of making Annie's easter dress( and scarf) is in the books! I think its funny how each year they keep getting easier and easier. Maybe I am getting more talented, or I am getting smarter and choosing easier patterns because we all know I'm waiting until the last minute to sew the dress!

Posed Christmas Pictures

We had a lot of Christmas festivities this year! With so many picture taking opportunities, we ended up with ALOT of posed pictures. I decided to throw them all in here, mainly because I am lazy and this makes me feel like I did a blog post for the day :) So without further ado, here are the group posed pictures from Christmas 2015

Outtakes
I deleted most of them but a few of these really captured the mood of the season!

MOM NOOOO MOORRREEEE Pictures. Even Nicholas was looking over it!
This Christmas eve was spent laughing with family. A Merry time had by all with no fighting,  a true Christmas miracle in the crazy Bruns family!!!
The always failing attempt at a good Eberhardt Famiy Picture....One day...one day
