Happy Easter!

Every year since Annie was 2, I have made her Easter dress. This almost always prompts a photo shoot because I need to document my creations. This year we took a few family pictures as well because it has been too long. Sadly the boys were still super shaggy so these won't be making the cut for Christmas cards. 

 This dress even has pockets, I really love it!

Brandon said that since we had not announced our pregnancy yet( sorry but people don't really care) that we should take a funny picture. This is our last ditch attempt at that. By this point, the kids were over pictures! 

After pictures we took off our Sunday best and spent the rest of the day with family and playing with friends. 

Pre-Easter Egg Hunt

Every year for the last few years, my parents have put on an Easter egg hunt. We used to have it at their house but after we moved, we started having the hunt here! We like to have the Easter egg hunt on Easter day but it was supposed to ran so we moved it up a day. 

Before the hunt can begin, a few pictures. These pictures were the last straw before the boys got their buzz cuts. So much wild hair going on!

The eggs were hid and the fun started! Ignore the depressing looking back yard. We were getting ready for spring clean up( where you put your large garbage on the curb and they city collects it for free) and nothing has grown in yet so the back yard looks trashy...literally.

Annie's First Dance Competition

This year in addition to gymnastics, voice lessons, and swimming lessons, Annie participated in competition dance with the North Dakota Ballet Company. One of my former dancers from UND is the director of the competitive teams there and was Annie's coach this year and Annie just loves Miss Leigha! After several months of practice, it was finally time for their first competition. Thankfully we didn't have to travel far since it was located in West Fargo! Annie and I headed down the day before and made a little girls weekend out of it. We went shopping, ate at Space Aliens, went swimming and finally, DANCED!

As much as Annie enjoyed dancing, I think her favorite part of the weekend was hanging out with Ana! I used to cheer with Ana's mom back in the day and love hanging out with her. I will not be sad if these two grow up dancing together and Steph and I get to travel and chat the weekends away!

                                                        

Annie and I had to leave the second she got done dancing to get home in time for Brandon to get to work so we didn't get to stay for awards:( Their team got High Gold and a special award for something along the lines of being cute and clean. I am still new to the world of dance but basically they did really good but had room for improvement. It was a short trip but fun none the less!
