No Frosty No Frosty

As some of you may remember Annie was not a huge fan of some of our Disney friends last month. She was terrified of Goofy and was not a huge fan of tigger either. She loved looking at them from a distance but began screaming when they got to close to her....Frosty the snowman and santa are no different for this girl. Brandon decorated the outside for Christmas a few days ago and we took Annie outside to check out Frosty and boy she did NOT like him! She kept screaming no frosty no frosty no frosty and was only OK after Brandon took her away from him and told her to say bye bye to frosty..so funny! So then the kids came inside and we were putting up the indoor decorations and our talking Santa made his annual appearance. Both Elias and Annie were terrified of him yet they kept insisting I "press Christmas" i.e press the button that made Santa sing and dance. They would stare at him with wide terrified eyes yet their little bodies couldn't help but to dance with the music. Elias would press the button then run across the room and up the stairs and stay there to watch Santa from a safe distance. Well he decided he didn't want to anymore and tried to convince Annie to press Christmas, they then got into a fight and Elias came down off the stairs and urged her to go, she finally started to go over there when she saw her big brother run off covering his ears, then she decided she was being talked into something bad and refused. It was SO CUTE to watch them interacting with each other. Here is a video of the evenings events, its kinda long but oh so priceless...to me anyways!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

My whole childhood the day after Thanksgiving meant one thing...no not shopping, decorating for Christams! We would pull out all the decorations, put on Christmas music and begin the day long task of decorating the house. I have tried to keep that tradition the best I can with my family but some years it doesn't work out but this year it did! Usually decorating for Christams is rather stressful, trying to keep the little ones away from the breakables and such but this year it was pure fun. I decided when Elias was a baby to not put out any of the awesome ceramic Christmas decorations my grandmother made since I didn't want them broken and I love them so much. This means that all we really have to put up inside is the tree and our big santa. The kids had so much fun helping fluff the tree and handing daddy all the ornaments for the tree. They both love our big Santa but are terrified of him at the same time. They don't want to go near him but want us to "press Christmas" to make him sing and dance. The kids got to be rather late since it took alot longer then we thought to decoreate but it was all worth it! Brandon and I finished up the night watching a made for TV Christmas movie and eating some popcorn.
Annie helping Daddy fluff the tree
Both kids enjoyed climbing in the tree box and tipping it over
Annie showing me where to hang the next ornament
Elias and Daddy hanging up some ornaments
The kids helping me with trimming the tree
Annie liked taking them all of the box and putting them back in
Checking out whats hanging on the tree

Annie got the honors of putting the angle on top of the tree this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Another Thanksgiving is in the books. Brandon had to work the night before and the night of Thanksgiving so the morning was spent with just the babies and me. We watched the entire Macy's parade which the kids loved, ate lunch and played all afternoon. At about 4 Brandon woke up and we headed to Grandmas for a Turkey dinner. I had come down with a cold and it seemed both the kids were getting sick too since they were both a handful at Grandmas. We managed to eat, watch football and relax before we headed home to give the kids baths and bed and so Brandon could get to work. In years past Thanksgiving has been a day long event of lazyness, overeating and hanging out with family, it was a little dissapointing that this years festivities all had to be jammed into a couple of crazy hours...oh well just one of joys of being married to a cop I guess! Here are some pictures from our fun filled evening. The next day Grandma came over to hang out with the kids while Brandon and I did a little Black Friday Shopping. We didn't out early and by the time we got to the stores it was just like any other busy weekend. We didn't even have to wait in line at a few place and I think all the crazies were gone by then so everyone was pretty polite and it was a fun time. We didn't really plan to get a lot of stuff but ended up starting and pretty much finishing our christmas shopping in a couple of hours!

Silly Kids

Its hard for me to keep up with all the cute and silly things my kids are doing these days, but this is my attempt to try. As both Annie and Elias' vocabulary explodes and as their speech continues to develop they say things sometimes that really make me laugh!
*The other day it was snowing, and Elias looked out the window and SCREAMED. " Look Mommy its snowing...CHRISTMAS IS COMING" then he proceeded to ask if we could look for Santa or look for Frosty.
*That same evening Daddy, Annie and Elias were playing in a sleeping bag on the floor and it was Annie's turn to hide but Elias tapped Brandon on the shoulder and told him Annie can't hide, she is too big..I think he was indicating she was fat but I won't tell Annie that, I wouldn't want to make her self conscience just yet.
*Tonight Annie and Daddy were cuddling and she patted his belly asked quizically "Daddy Baby?" she knows mommy has a baby in her big belly and just assumed Daddy did too!
*Yesterday there was knock at the door and Elias got all excited and asked" It is Christmas?" He apparently thinks Christmas is a person.
* Elias has been having some rough nights latley and hasn't wanted to stay in bed. The last time he got out of bed brandon went up to put him back in and he looked at Brandon, gave him a fake cough told him he needed medicine and couldn't go back to bed then faked coughed again. Brandon told him he wasn't sick and he just flashed a big smile and walked back into his room.
*Annie like to pretend all of her toys are baby dolls and enjoys tucking them into bed. She will put woody or buzz under a blanket and say" good night woody, goodnight buzz, hug, kiss, pinky promise" then start over with new toys. At least she likes our bedtime routine to use it with her toys.
*The kids miss Brandon since he has to be gone alot for school and work and so LITERALLY every single morning when Annie wakes up the first thing she said is " We go find Daddy? Daddy work? Daddy sleeping?" and usually I say Daddy's at work and this makes her really happy since she knows that means she will see him in a little bit( he gets home about 45 min after we get up)

They recently have taken to looking in catalogs at toys and books and its pretty dang cute! Elias has even picked out a couple of age inappropriate toys he just has to have from Frosty aka Santa. They have also discovered hiding under the table and reading books can be really fun.The other day they were under there for seriously a hour, I tried to join them but 1. I didn't fit and 2. I was NOT invited...so I scrapbooked on the computer instead..I could get used to this!

I can't believe how big the kids are getting and what personalities they are developing! I feel so darn lucky that I get to stay home with them and see all this cute stuff. Yes there are rough days and days I wish I had a job to flee to escape the madness but most days I love hanging out with my babes!
 Reading under the table
Elias is really into his book!
I was taking my 33 week picture and Elias came over patted my belly and told me to go take a picture...funny kid
Picking out some toys from the target catalog
Elias found some kind of toy that involved animals and kept saying " SANTA BRING ME ANIMALS" rather loudly
Annie decided that she needed to wear Elias' shades to the breakfast table. Every time she puts them on she says "I'm pretty"

Let It Snow Let It Snow Let It Snow!

Well after weeks of cooler weather we finally go some snow! We only got a light dusting but it was enough to turn the yard and trees white and at that point Elias was begging to go out and play in it! Even though it was pretty cold and windy Brandon, Elias and Annie went outside for about 10 min to have their first play date with the white wintery fluff. I was smart and just stayed inside taking pictures! Both kids were pretty sad to have to come inside, hopefully the next time it snows it will be about 30 and no wind so they can really have a good time!

Daddy, Annie and Elias running through the snow
As you can tell, Elias was really enjoying himself!
 Annie enjoying her ride
Elias really likes putting his hands and face in the snow, he doesn't care that its cold!

Happy Birthday!

Well last week Brandon and I both turned another year older in pretty unexciting ways. On Brandon's birthday I had a cheerleading competition in Fargo that I had to go to followed by a basketball game. Brandon and the kids met me at the game and we had some good quality family time. After the game we got home in time for a quick dinner then Brandon headed to Fargo to spend some time with his Aunt and Uncle. The next day was a quiet day in the Eberhardt household with not much going on but raising babies, so we took advantage of this and Mim treated us all to some yummy Paradiso followed by Dairy Queen cake...pure heave to a pregnant woman! Monday it was by big day( the bit 3-0 eek!) My day started off with delicious Burger King breakfast before Brandon went to bed then Annie headed to Sam's and Joann's for a little shopping, she was a perfect angel which was her present to me I guess! I had ice practice that afternoon followed by a double header so I pretty much spent the rest of my birthday hanging out with the cheer team but such is life. After a certain point birthdays don't really matter anymore, its nice to get those phone calls and facebook posts wishing you a happy day and of course kisses and hugs from your loved ones but that's really all one needs at this age. Brandon and I kept it simple didn't do gifts and it was just as nice as those holidays where we do exchange. I guess it really is the little things that make you happy( like a well behaved child on shopping errands!)
Daddy and Annie enjoying a SIOUX bball game...Happy Birthday Daddy!
 CHEESEEEEEEE
Elias saying cheese but not wanting to miss any of the action from the game..silly bear
Elias carry his bag out. He decide it was time to go , helped me pack up his bag and headed out.
Getting really excited to enjoy some icecream cake
Elias trying to eat the cake with the candles still on it while Annie patiently waits
Taking worlds biggest breath to blow out candles
Another awesome Eberhardt family picture :)

Day 8- Going Home

All good things must come to a end. We were scheduled for a 8 am flight out of Orlando, little did I know when you use the Disney Express you HAVE to be on the bus 3 hours before your scheduled flights...thats right 5 am! We woke up at 4 got ready then headed to the bus. After a trip through security we stopped at Burger king for breakfast( YUM) then onto our gate area where Brandon let the kids run crazy to try to tire them out for the 3 hour plane ride ahead...it worked! Annie slept for the first 2 hours and then played and colored for the last hour. This plan had tv's in front of each seat and we spent $6 and got the disney channel...best $6 EVER! Elias didn't fall asleep but he didn't fuss once, just watched the disney channel in a daze for the entire plane ride!
We had problems getting the door attached to the airplane after it landed so we were on the plane for 10 or so min before we could deboard. Poor Elias was so exhausted that he layed down in the isle and passed out!! It was quite a sight. We rushed to our gate for our flight home and boarded almost immediatly. Annie chatted with Daddy and was overall pretty good, Elias played with his toy animals and fell asleep on the decent into GFK. Grandma Mim picked us up and a very tired Eberhardt clan headed home.
We walked into the cleanest house EVER! Grandma Mim had spent all week cleaning our house and bought lots of new things that were much needed around the house! She even bought Annie some girly Tangled bedding!! We were so tired we didn't get to fully appreciate all that she had done until later that night. All 4 of us literally crawled into our beds and slept for almost 3 hours!!!!!
It was a wonderful trip and I am so thankful to my parents and sister Nikki for sharing their vacation points with us( we didn't have to pay for our room at our amazing resort). The kids may not remember this trip but I will never forget it!
Elias cuddled up on the couch at 4:30am
A very tired mommy and Annie
 Headed to the Bus!
 Annie was a hot mess!

Zombie Elias refusing to sleep, watching the Disney Channel on the plane
Annie on the other hand had NO problem sleeping
Elias passed out on the floor while waiting to deboard
My improved living room. New rug, new arrangement, new pillows, new bins for toys...and thats just one room.
Daddy let Elias wear his glasses(which I objected to!!) My goodness doesn't he look like Brandon!!!!!!

Day 7- Picures and Downtown Disney

Our last full day at the resort began with Family pictures! At this point my foot hurt so bad that I was unable to walk at all so Skyla got me a wheelchair to take to our photo site. The pictues went as good as can be expected. Elias didn't want to be in them, Annie wanted to run all over and in general it was chaos. I think the photographer might have got a couple shots where both my kids were looking without a hand in the mouth or pants...we shall see though. The rest of the family took pictuers and Brandon and I took the opportunity to take some akward maternity pictures..it was pretty funny, I don't know how people do them seriously!!
After pictures we gave the kids a early lunch and nap( I took one too of couse) and when we all woke up Grandma Mary was back in town! We visited for a little bit then headed to Downtown Disney to take her to her car and to get the kids one last toy. We headed home and got everything ready for the next day, transportation, packing ect. We spent the evening with my family letting the cousins run crazy and get out some of that energy! They had a great time together and I know Elias and Annie are really going to miss playing with all of them! We gave the kids one last bath in worlds biggest tub, finished packing and went to bed...4 am comes pretty early!
