Annie turns 6, part 1

Annie has been counting down the days until she FINALLY turned 6! I have to be honest, I feel like she should be turning 10. While she has meltdowns and such, she has for the last couple years seemed much much older then 4 or 5. She helps out so much around the house and is so responsible with her brothers, even her older one, I have to remind myself she is still just a little girl herself. Now that she is 6, the age where almost all kids have started school by, her age seems much more appropriate.
Anyways, we are very lucky and have friends and family far away that sends my brood of kids gifts for Christmas and birthdays. We always let kids open those gifts as they come so they remember them among the chaos of massive gift opening. First up: Aunt Nikki's box!
Aunt Nikki does a wonderful job making sure Annie is well outfitted for any season in cute name brand clothes that this mom can't afford. Annie had fun going through the box and pulling out all of the cute pieces one by one. She loved everything, but shocking( not) she loved the frozen PJ's the most! She just squealed and hugged them...she is crazy.
Naturally, after everything was opened, we put on a fashion show. Some things are for now, some for later and some didn't quite go together but Annie insisted on modeling every piece as an outfit! She can't wait to wear it all and now that the chilly weather is approaching( after the 80 degree weekend we will have) she will get her wish. Thanks Aunt Nikki for the adorable clothes!

Not that my opinion counts, but I love the polka dot tunic length cardigan and the cat sweater best!!
